How do we monitor quality?

The EuroFlam Consortium Partners set themselves ever improving quality goals in the execution of the various services they provide. This is primarily motivated by a mutually held objective to provide the highest quality service possible to both to the Sponsor, the European Commission and to the Users and their User Groups.

Dr Ing A MILANI
CSM, Process Technology Division
Experimental Station for Combustion

Graduated in Nuclear Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, I have spent my professional life in applied R&D concerning heat transfer, fluid dynamics and combustion: from two-phase flows in nuclear reactors to technical problems related to thermal processes in steel plants. I have spent almost two years at the Experimental Station with the team of Dr Leuckel and then more than 30 years with CSM, the leading R&D company for steel in Italy.

I have been responsible for 25 years of CSM Experimental Station in Genoa, housed within local steelworks, where pilot plant scale equipment has been used for design purposes in process technology regarding reheating furnaces (combustion equipment, including low-NOx burners, roller hearth furnaces, non ferrous metal furnaces etc), high temperature processes (including flameless firing), power generating equipment (burners for waste gas boilers and gas turbine combustors) waste incineration etc on behalf of big engineering companies and with the partial support of European R&D programs.
